‘Before Icarus Fell’

The recipient of a 2010 grant from the Jim Henson Foundation, Tony Chiroldes’ BEFORE ICARUS FELL premiered on November 3, 2010, in the Studio Theatre at Theatre Row, in New York City.

BEFORE ICARUS FELL is a multi-media, live-actor and shadow puppetry piece inspired by the life of Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos-Dumont. In his country, he is considered the true father of aviation.

Was he really the first to fly?

In this page you will find poster art, a promotional video and pictures from the production featuring Liz Acosta-Crommet, Laurie Berenhaus, Bill Hubner and Tony Chiroldes.

Stay tuned for upcoming performances!
